Why a Wireless-Free, Off-Grid(ish) Retreat?

At the Wireless-Free Farm, we create a space where people can relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a break from modern technology.

As the owner, I maintain the farm as a wireless-free zone for health reasons — I experience heightened sensitivity to EMFs (Electro-Magnetic Fields) and RFR (Radio-Frequency Radiation), commonly referred to as EHS (Electro-Magnetic Hyper-Sensitivity).

Because of this, our environment is also a supportive refuge for guests who live with similar sensitivities. We welcome anyone seeking a peaceful, low-EMF setting for respite, recovery, or a restorative holiday.

To offer a sanctuary where people can feel well, calm, and deeply connected to nature.

This environment is essential for me as the owner, and profoundly beneficial for the many guests who seek respite here.

2. My EHS Story

I live with Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS), which means everyday exposures such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and mobile signals can trigger significant symptoms and serious impairments.

To live safely, I maintain a low-EMF environment across the farm.
When we opened our doors to guests, this naturally became part of our ethos — and part of the gift we offer.

Many guests with EHS, digital fatigue, burnout, anxiety, or sensory overload find immediate relief here.

3. Wireless-Free by Design

Our retreat maintains a near-zero-wireless policy, including:

• No WiFi routers
• No smart meters
• No cordless phones
• No Bluetooth devices
• Guest phones and other wireless tech have to be left in the guest car park.

A TV is available but connected through a wired TP-Link system so that it operates without WiFi if you choose to use it.

We are not fully off-grid — and we say that proudly and honestly.

Our setup includes:

Borehole Water

Pure, local water, treated via a UV lamp and filtered, drawn directly from beneath the land — refreshing and natural with an original Grander Water Unit in-line to remind our water of its pure origins and energetics.

Composting Toilet

Located in the farmyard, this clean waterless system is odour-free and apart from saving water it demonstrates traditional, sustainable living.

Mains Electricity & Oil Boiler

Reliable essentials that keep your stay warm, bright, and comfortable — while still minimising unnecessary technology.

We call it off-grid(ish) because it blends independence with practicality.
