Welcome to Bryn Y Garreg, our newly independent 3-bedroom cottage, part of the main Farmhouse. — A peaceful hideaway for those seeking deep rest, digital detox, and time in nature. Nestled within 17.5 acres of beautiful Mid Wales countryside, this is a true sanctuary for both people and animals.

Here, you can finally switch off without missing out.
Our farm is a Wireless-Tech-Free Zone — meaning no Wi-Fi, mobile phones, smartwatches or other wireless devices inside the accommodation or on the farm. For those who need to connect with the outside world, all devices can be safely used in the guest car park at any time.

The guest cottage offers home-from-home comfort, high-quality furnishings, and all the space and privacy you need:

• 1 Double Bedroom with En-Suite Bathroom
• 1 Triple Bedroom (1 Double + 1 Single Bed) with Private Bathroom
• 1 Twin Bedroom (available January 2026) with Private Shower room downstairs
• ***New*** seperate Dining Room/Sun room with tranquil views
• ‘The Snug’ - cosy Living room with log burner
• Fully equipped kitchen with oven, sink, and fridge-freezer
• ***NEW *** SHARED Outdoor patio and BBQ area with swimming pool (unheated), plus peaceful views in every direction (Children under 5 will have to be supervised by one adult per child at all times due to Health and Safety requirements in this outside space).
• 2-acre conservation field with picnic bench and small stream is accessible for guests at any time, the rest of the farm is only open to the public by means of guided tours to keep the farm a calm and relaxing environment for all.

 

Set in the heart of nature, Bryn Y Garreg is just minutes from the breathtaking Lake Vyrnwy and the Dyfnant Forest — perfect for walking, cycling, horse riding, or carriage driving.

This means NO Wireless Tech allowed on the farm or in the farmhouse, i.e. mobile phone's, fit bits, apple watches, etc. However, you are able to use all of your tech in the guest car park at any time, should you need to get in touch with the 'outside' world.

• shared use of farmhouse swimming pool, under cover BBQ entertainment area and seating for ourtdoor dining PLEASE NOTE: This outdoor patio area is not suitable for childern under 5 years old. Continuous 1 to 1 supervision of young children is neceessary due to the pool and  multiple small walls which are high risk areas for young children. We offer other areas you can go and relax in with a young family.
• 2 acres of Conservation Area with large picnic table. Surrounded by nature, hilly in parts with a little stream passing through. Spend time on the wooden bridge spotting blue dragon flies and observe butterflies.. In the evening hear the owls hooting and let the stars transform the sky into a concert of lights.

We are located within short reach of Lake Vyrnwy, one of the most beautiful visitor attractions in Mid Wales, which leads you on to Snowdonia National Park with stunning scenery and wide open spaces.

The Dyfnant Forest, the home of the Rainbow Trails is great for dog walking, cycling, horse riding & carriage driving. It is just 5 minutes by car or you can set off straight from us here at Bryn Y Garreg Farm.

In order to open our farm to the public, as the owner of the farm I require the farm to be a wireless free zone due to health reasons.

I am sensitive to EMF’s (Electro Magnetic Fields) and RFR’s (Radio Frequency Radiation).

There are many benefits for officially ‘non sensitive’ people who join us here at Bryn Y Garreg at our wireless free farm. However, by staying here you might find that our tech crowded world has managed to get to you just a little more than you thought or like.

We offer informative talks about simple steps everyone can take to protect themselves and their family.

During your stay here you’ll not only find reprieve away from the hustle & bustle of life, but there are distinct health benefits during your stay with us because of the ‘wireless-tech free zone’.

In addition to this, I invite other people with such sensitivities to stay at our farm for respite and holiday stays. Re-charge your batteries with us in an extremely low EMF/RFR environment.
